Sleepless in Seattle...

Okay Puyallup, but you get the idea right?

I'm on night 3 now of a late night - Saturday night I was up until 3a "partying" with my best friend & her other best friend but the last 2 nights since then I haven't been able to fall asleep at a decent time! I know its due to sleeping in but man-o-man! This is ridiculous! I have tried laying there until I fall asleep but its not working! Tomorrow I will get up at a decent time though! I would have today but I woke up with a REALLY bad headache - borderline migraine and thanks to my amazing son (how did I get so lucky?!) He let me sleep in until noon and it was gone thank goodness! As long as I don't have a headache tomorrow I am okay with the sleeplessness... I just hope it doesn't continue much longer! Usually I only have a few days (nights) like this a month but I'm noticing its becoming more frequent again. NOT cool! All well, I'm going to try and sleep again and hope that I will be better tomorrow night in the sleep department!

Apartment Living

I HATE APARTMENT LIVING!!! I am not a city girl, which makes it harder to live in an apartment... We live in a decent apartment in Puyallup, the complex has 28 buildings (average 12 units per building, approx 336 units, average 3 occupants per unit - thats over 1000 people!). Our building has 8 units, we are on the ground floor of our building. Our upstairs neighbor's girlfriend/fiance/wife lady and her friend/sister moved in with him (it was just 1 guy in there when we moved in) and since the ladies have joined him it has been noisier and noisier! We aren't just talking about normal upstairs neighbor noise you would expect in an apartment - this is obnoxiously loud talking, loud TV and more loud talking, you can even (if the ladies were speaking in English) understand them! I have complained a couple times now, but last night I had to call the rent-a-cops (aka Pierce County Security) because the TV was so loud it was like we were watching Avatar with them! Yes it was so loud we knew what movie they were watching! PCS shows up and what do you know, it gets quiet finally! Then dude-o upstairs throws a fit at the PCS guy for "disrupting my family" and for telling them to keep it down, and asking them why if they will show up for a loud TV, why wont they show up for the parties in the other building - BECAUSE DUMB ASS I'M THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING AND DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT! So about the part dude complained about - the party goers in the other building - SERIOUSLY YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A LOUD ALL OUT PARTY EVERY WEEKEND! City of Puyallup has quiet laws, and the apartments have quiet hours as well - after 10p its supposed to go down to a respectable level and stay that way until 8a. We have been having problems with this building since we moved in and I have had enough! Thank God for another Buckley Girl coming to the apartments - in the form of an assistant manager. She, like me, knows how to get things taken care of and doesn't care who she pisses off to get it done! I have us out of our lease if we want to move, we just have to give 30 days notice, which wouldn't be so bad if WE HAD THE $$ TO MOVE!!! UGH it has to get taken care of soon or I will go crazy redheaded woman all over someone - I've had it and have reached my breaking point with it, and that doesn't happen very often! If it wasn't for Melissa coming to the complex I would have fought to get the deposit back so we could have it to put down on another place like now, but I'm hoping I can last until July when Jeff's credit card is paid off then we can afford to move!

Can you tell I'm frustrated by it? Our next place will NOT be another apartment, we will be in a duplex or house!

Adventures in the BBB

Its been done, the crib has been converted into a toddler bed. My baby is now sleeping in a "big boy bed" - The BBB. Makes me sad! I don't feel ready for this, my little baby is becoming more and more independent and more like a little boy instead of a baby!

We started this adventure 2 nights ago. The first night went well, as good as can be expected? He had a rough day anyways, nap time was late (3:30-6) which meant he wasn't ready for bed at bed time. He was running around totally wired until 11p, then took another 30min to get him to go to sleep. He slept through the night waking up at 8a... 8hrs is not his usual sleep time, he usually sleeps 10-12hrs. Then yesterday, after waking up at 8a, he was tired at noon (which is ok, nap time is supposed to be at 1) but didn't fall asleep until almost 1, but instead of sleeping in his bed, he fell asleep on the floor using blanky as a pillow, he looked so adorable!

Last night went much better, took about an hour and a half to get him to sleep, and he was asleep by 10:30 (bed time is at 9) and he slept in his bed, and didn't wake up until 9a!

We will see how tonight goes, nap time will be challenging as it is every Friday (I work from 2-6 and he naps 1-3, so he naps 2-whenever at work) so we will see how tonight goes, hopefully better then last night!

Oh goodness! The next step is POTTY TRAINING!! EEK ... well actually that is the one thing I am excited for!

Digital Pictures...

I have become a victim of digital pictures! I have finally uploaded some 1400 pictures just from 3 of the 4 cell phone cards we have (2 old phones and my current phone). How many of them do we actually have in frames?? ZERO!! They are all now on the computer! I still have all our honeymoon pictures, Jacobs 1st birthday pictures, random cute pictures of Jacobs, bath pictures etc .... all of which are ON THE COMPUTER!! Thinking of investigating online photo sites that let you print pictures and online scrapbooks... maybe a bunch of scrapbooks is best that way I don't have to worry about frames, because otherwise I will ended up with several boxes of photos! Hmm wonder what I should do! I will let you know of the outcome soon :D

Wow... I'm really bad at blogging!

Ok, its not that I'm bad at blogging, because many times in the past MONTH (yes it has been exactly 1 month since my last blog post!) I have had many things to talk about, and have even know what I was going to say... I'm just bad about getting on to post them! So, I apologize for my lack of blog posts, I'm hoping to get better soon!

Today, I was reading a blog of a fellow mommy friend whose blog sent me to another blog called "The Feminist Breeder" (TFB). All I can say is WOW. Seriously, this gal is good! Her blog that my friend was talking about was how mean girls turn into mean moms, and not that they are mean to their kids, but that they are mean to the other moms!

We have been having some drama lately that I don't want to get into in my mommy world of friends, and well I agree with my mommy friend this blog explains it all!
